The Secret of Lullaby
In the ancient Phoenician settlement of Tavira, Portugal, a history of human
sacrifice once haunted the city. Centuries later, a series of murders mystify
the town until a long-forgotten fado lullaby suggests a connection. But who
is behind the murders? Is it the beautiful ecologist, her fisherman lover, or
the troubled locals? The truth hides in the shadows of Tavira, waiting to be
revealed.
Location
Tavira is called “The Jewel of the Algarve.” It is home to several archaeological sites from the ancient Phoenician, Roman, and medieval Islamic periods. The city is also surrounded by unique landscapes of salt fields and a bird sanctuary, where Flamingos and storks can be seen year-round.
The Algarve has long been a popular destination and source of fascination, and in recent years it has become a popular location for expatriates. As a result, Tavira boasts a vibrant international, multilingual community.
The houses of Tavira are covered with tiles and beautifully decorated with delicate woodwork and ornamented flames. The charm of the Algarve chimneys is still seen on the many buildings.
